Went to stay at Parque da Floresta for the weekend. Played golf on Saturday and it had hit 34 degs by 10.00. Too much for me, even with a buggie.....and there were people walking the course, unbelievable! :shock:

Just a couple of thoughts guest: 1. If they agreed to have your collection box on their counter, they could not refuse anybody else, could they? There's a very helpful German doctor (fluent English speaker) in Monte Carvoeiro (don't know about Saturdays, but worth a try in the morning)
or pop down to the pharmacist in town and ask him.

I don’t know much about footy…….its all cricket and rugby where I come from…..When I see the English lager louts in downtown Lisbon and on the telly is all blokes……the other countries seem to have female as well as bloke supporters…… …...maybe the English should be forced to bring a wife/mother-in-...

We normally go to CVO in either June or September, but I have to admit that we assumed that the prices would go through the roof as a result of demand whilst the football was on, so didn't even consider it this year.

I've played most of the courses in the area (from Salgados to Parque De Floresta) and have never been asked for my handicap certificate.
It may be their way of refusing people without offending, maybe.
