Yes we found out last night. Extremely sad news and such a shock for everyone.

I would highly recommend Ferragudo Praia Grande beach for young children. There is little play area and a few beach bars actually on the beach so you if you fancy lunch you can eat whilst the kids play.
Lagos Zoo is also a nice day out for young kids.

I'd recommend the restaurants at Monte Carvoeiro. My 6 year old loves going there to eat and she always makes a friend to run around and play with.
