Hi Cathie, although you have already decided on Salamanca, for the record it's all motorway from Lagoa to Caceres, easy driving and takes 4 to 5 hours depending on how fast you drive. I set the cruise control to 80mph and generally average about 72 to 75 mph. Enjoy your stay in Salamanca.

Not Salamanca, but I have stayed at the Palacio de Arenales near Caceres. The hotel is just off the main highway, very quiet and smart, with all the usual amenities. They charge 30 Euros extra for a pet to stay in the room. Carvoeiro to Caceres is 300 miles and Caceres to Bilbao is about 380 miles.

Apple TV works well as long as you have decent broadband speeds. Occasionally, for reasons that I can't explain, It only projects the sound on to the TV and leaves the picture on my iPAD, but that's not too inconvenient.

Pickwick is absolutely correct. Ideally, you should be no more than about 15 metres from the MiFi router to get a signal. That's fine for me, but not ideal for, say, someone who wants to watch Uk tv via the internet in one room whilst someone else wants to download a film in another.

I have tried a simple test using my iPad, smart phone and Kindle at the same time and all got a signal with very good response times.

Hi Sasha, Yes MEO is the latest name for PT/SAPO. I have opted for MEO's Hiper 4G product at 29.53 Euros per month. I think that includes IVA.
