Re: Millenium Free Bank Transfers from the UK

I sent £20 as a test run to see if it worked and what the rate would be. Sent the money to the HSBC account on Friday. Got a telephone call from a very nice man from Millennium on Monday to say I hadn't put our Millennium Acc No. as the reference (which I definitely had). It obviously got left off b...

Re: Easyjet and API

Thank you so much for posting this. This was the fisrt I knew about it. We are flying next month with Easyjet and I had booked back in February. I don't usually log back in to see my booking so would have gone to the airport without providing this passport info. Are they stopping people from flying?...

I thoroughly recommend Restaurant Roma just outside the village near Poco Partido - the food is great, service good and there is a play area for the children and sometimes organised activities while you relax over coffee.

Have a great birthday! :D

We tried to use the Multibanco and got timed out before we'd worked out what to put. Thanks for the link - it gives us a chance to translate before we try again but does anyone know what you put in the ID number page?

Fishing Permits

We have been told that you must have a fishing permit now to fish off the beach or rocks or from a boat. Does anyone have any information as to the cost of these or where you can purchase one from? Many thanks! :?:

Porches Pottery

I have been told that they will ship to the UK but I don't know whether it is cheaper to buy something from a garden centre in the UK or buy from Por...

Please also think about contacting the resort if you are interested in buying timeshare. They have a list of available weeks/units and you may get a better deal than via Timeshare Hypermarket. The sales office is based at Monte Carvoeiro reception and the person to talk to is Chris Cottis. She has b...

We own timeshare at Monte Carvoeiro. It is a great resort if a little tired in places. Ideal location with sea views from many apartments. Good facilities and only a short walk to the village... and a steep climb back up. The restaurants around the fountain are ideal if you don't want to venture too...

We bought a DVD player last week in Staples at the Portimao Retail Park for 34.90 euros. Works fine and was the cheapest we found locally. Our last one stopped working suddenly and we wondered whether the damp had got to it as the apartment had been empty for three months! Decided to buy cheap and r...
